Orbis Robotics is a telepresence robotics company based in Encinitas, California.  They currently manufacture the Teleporter and Carl telepresence robots and market those robots to different businesses and hospitals.  In particular, they focus on providing robots to funeral homes, enabling people who are thousands of miles away, unable to be released from military duty, or otherwise unable to attend, to now participate using the remote presence capabilities provided by the Teleporter robot and the Carl robot.
