How can a Double 3 robot help me? A Double 3, as with any telepresence robot, provides you with a remote presence at any location with sufficient bandwidth.  You log into the robot and drive it around while maintaining a two-way video call.  Other see your face and you see them; the next best thing to being there in person.  No need to send emails back and forth to set up a call, drive into your coworkers office now.  Visit loved ones more frequently, avoid the hassle of travel and have a telepresence robot at that warehouse or office in Japan, and spend more time with your family, instead.

What do you need?  Nothing; the Double 3 includes everything out-of-the-box.

How do you control the Double 3? You can use a PC/Mac or handheld device.

To use the P3 you'll need to download the PadBot app to your device.  When you log in, simply click a button to connect to your PadBot and you'll be driving and interacting with others in moments. As usual with the PadBots, you can control the robots and have a 2-way video call using smartphones or tablets. The P3 adds the ability to control the robot using a PC; however, please note that when using the PC it will only create a 1-way video call (the remote users can view what the telepresence robot 'sees').

One of the features which separates the Carl robot from many of the other telepresence robots is that multiple users can log in and take part in the remote presence experience. One person controls the movement of the robot while the others can view (and be viewed) from their own locations.

Currently, Orbis Robotics is preparing to implement integration of biometric sensors (including heart monitors), improved optics for visual observation of patients, and family participation.  This last feature is exclusive to the Carl robot and allows members of a patient's family to participate in the Carl video call while the doctor is using the Carl to remotely visit the patient.

Teleporter https://telepresencerobots.com/robots/orbis-robotics-teleporter/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=orbis-robotics-teleporter https://telepresencerobots.com/robots/orbis-robotics-teleporter/#respond Thu, 25 Apr 2019 21:08:36 +0000 http://newsite.telepresencerobots.com/?post_type=product&p=3372 The Teleporter telepresence robot, from Orbis Robotics, offers WiFi and optional Cellular wireless operation, amplified speakers, and a noise-canceling microphone in addition to its 20" LCD High-Resolution monitor.  The Teleporter also features a laser pointer, an HD camera capable of 240X zoom (20X Optical), and three obstacle avoidance sensors.

One of the unique features of the Teleporter robot is that it offers multi-participants in the video and audio feeds.  While one person controls the robot, up to five additional users can log in and see (and be seen on) the screen.  This provides a very convenient way for multiple remote workers or physicians to easily participate in conferences and discussions or remote factory or hospital tours.

The amplified speakers and noise-cancelling microphone allow for easier and enhanced communication while the large screen of the Teleporter allows the operator to bring up schematics, blueprints, and websites on screen to show people at the robots location.  Additionally, the HD camera allows the user to zoom
in to view and display such things as instruments or parts in great detail.

For safety, the Teleporter has a sonar sensor, an infrared sensor, and a 3D camera which enables the robot to map its surroundings, allowing for very safe operation.

Swivl https://telepresencerobots.com/robots/swivl-robot/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=swivl-robot Thu, 25 Apr 2019 21:04:58 +0000 http://newsite.telepresencerobots.com/?post_type=product&p=3355 Have you ever wanted to record your own 360 videos?  Are you interested in recording training or classroom sessions hands-free?  The Swivl is a stationary telepresence robot designed with a focus on enhancing presentations in classrooms and the business world by combining video conferencing with robotics.

The Swivl robot offers several features which can help create more robust communication. The Swivl provides users the ability to create slideshows which can be shown on the device attached to the Swivl. The user also has the ability to control the robot through the use of a remote control (Swivl uses the term "marker") which, in addition to containing a microphone and having the ability to control operation of the slideshow, can rotate the Swivl's view from side to side for a 360 degree continuous pan as well as tilt the view to a 25 degree maximum. Alternatively, the Swivl features a tracking function, where the robot follows the user, enabling them to have hands free self-recording.

While the Swivl is currently being marketed as a tool for business and classroom presentations, and is capable of creating an exciting stationary telepresence experience. The remote user can have their face displayed on the device's screen and the Swivl can follow the movement of the person on location.  For improved sound the aforementioned marker can be attached to the presenter's clothing and operates as a microphone, allowing for continuous, quality sound even if the local user moves away from the robot. The microphone has a 30 foot range and operates at 2.4Ghz.

The remote user can operate the Swivl using the Swivl Control app, which can be downloaded for free from either the Google Play or Apple stores.

As common amongst telepresence robots, users may communicate with people at the robots location through the speakers and microphones on the tablet or smartphone (not included with the Synergy Swan) that is attached to the robot.  Additionally, the Synergy Swan has face recognition capability and includes a human speech synthesizer as an alternative way to transmit voices.

Remote users may operate the Synergy Swan robot using Android, iOS, Linux, MacOS, or Windows devices. However, at present time only Android devices may be placed on the robot itself.  R.Bot uses its own remote presence software so users do not need to use video conferencing applications such as Skype or Google Hangouts.

The Webot also offers a long run-time of up to 12 hours.  Wicron (the creator of the Webot) mentions that some of the advantages that the Webot robot can provide are the ability to provide remote assistance in shopping centers, the ability for supervisors to monitor and interact with employees, the ability for business owners and leaders to save thousands of dollars by participating in meetings remotely, the ability to have more accurate control over merchandise and warehouse setups, the ability for museums to be experienced from afar, and the ability to attract customers through interaction with the robot or even having company names and logos attached to the robot itself.

The Webot, as with all telepresence robots, puts video conferences and remote viewing in your hands, giving you greater control of what you wish to see and when; empowering you to have a greater presence and more enhanced and efficient communication with your peers and coworkers or family, even from across the sea.

FURo-i Home https://telepresencerobots.com/robots/futurerobot-furo-i/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=futurerobot-furo-i https://telepresencerobots.com/robots/futurerobot-furo-i/#respond Thu, 25 Apr 2019 20:24:51 +0000 http://newsite.telepresencerobots.com/?post_type=product&p=3288 Interested in a telepresence robot which allows you to easily visit friends and family or coworkers at the drop of a hat?  How about a telepresence robot which helps provides security for your home?

The FURo-i Smart Home Robot is a telepresence robot for general consumers which enables them to have a remote presence which can be used to visit friends and family instantly, check in on elderly family members or friends, or even just "drop-in" to see how the pets are keeping.  Korean manufacturer, FutureRobot, has created several different applications for the FURo-i. They title these applications as Home View, Family Chat, Family Planner, and Home Control.

Home View: Cruise around your house, business, or the home of your family or friends by using your own smartphone or tablet.  Simply click on arrows that are on the screen to control the robot, tilt its head, and view what you want to see.  Virtually play with your grandchildren, cousins, nephews or nieces, follow pets, or simply explore the remote location.

Family Chat: Ever wished video applications like Skype were more robust?  Have you disliked the static element; being limited to one view unless someone moves the camera around?  This feature, common to all telepresence robots, lets you decide what you want to see and when, and lets you move where you want to move.  Have a friend from off-screen chatting at you?  Turn the robot in the appropriate direction and, if desired, move nearer to better engage in communication.  A businessman on break in his office can log-in to the FURo-i located at his home using his smartphone or tablet, and can drive the robot around to visit his wife and children at any time. No need to set an appointment; you can 'walk' up to members of your family just like you would if you were there in person.

Family Planner: The FURo Planner mode helps you to set up and stick to your daily schedules. You can manage appointments and set up alarms and reminders for the various tasks you need to complete throughout the day.  The application features unique logos for different tasks to help make the experience even more efficient and enjoyable.  You can view an image depicting the FURo Planner feature below.

Home Control: The FURo Auto Home feature is a very unique feature provided by the FURo-i robot. You can use your smartphone to operate household appliances and devices when you are not at home.  Did you run off to work and neglect to turn off the kitchen lights, the CD player or television?  You can securely connect to your FURo-i and manage these devices remotely.  Turn off the lights, turn off the music, turn off the television.  You can can even lower the temperature, check the humidity in your home, and see if doors or windows are open.  Naturally, this feature requires compatible devices.

An additional feature provided by FutureRobot is the FURo-iHOME Security feature. This feature helps to provide additional security for your home by using the FURo-i's Security function while you are asleep or away.  The FURo-i can detect sound and movement and help alert you to possible tresspassers.

Feel free to view the FURo-i videos and images, and the "Specifications" and "Features" sections below for more details.

TableTop TeleMe https://telepresencerobots.com/robots/mantarobot-tabletop-teleme/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=mantarobot-tabletop-teleme https://telepresencerobots.com/robots/mantarobot-tabletop-teleme/#respond Thu, 25 Apr 2019 19:36:32 +0000 http://newsite.telepresencerobots.com/?post_type=product&p=3235 Do you want to get telepresence capability for your home or office without the worry of losing the connection during the call?  Or perhaps you are more worried that you may too easily crash into an infant or run over a stray cat?  If you have either of these concerns, the TableTop TeleMe telepresence robot may work well for you!  Just set the TeleMe in an area covered by strong WiFi and you will have no worries.

The MantaroBot TableTop TeleMe can be set on any level surface and used as a stationary telepresence robot. Remote users can log into the TableTop TeleMe robot via the MantaroBot control application and an audio/video-conferencing app such as Skype, FaceTime, Vidyo, or Google Hangouts, and view all of the robot's surroundings as if they were there in person. The base of the robot includes powered speakers and a microphone that connects to the tablet via Bluetooth.

The TableTop TeleMe's view can be controlled by the remote user which provides more efficient and enhanced participation and communication. Remote users are able to log in to the TableTop TeleMe robot via a PC, Mac, or most any other device with a modern web-browser and a network connection. While viewing the remote location the user can control the telepresence robot's view through a downloaded control application that communicates with the TableTop TeleMe through a direct socket, MantaroBot Communications Service (a cloud-based service where an additional fee may be required), or a WebRTC connection. The remote user may choose to use MantaroBot's web-based controller, the MantaroBot TeleGo. Additionally, MantaroBot has a Controller for Android so both Android Phones and Tablets can be used to drive their telepresence robots.

Aside from turning on the robot, the TableTop TeleMe requires no local supervision. Settings in many video-conferencing apps allow remote users to log in directly to the application and start receiving video images, so there does not need to be a person at the robot's location that must log in to Skype. This "auto-response" feature makes viewing something remotely far more convenient for remote users unavailable to travel to a location. Remote users can participate in business meetings, visit or check-in on family members, view distant warehouses, or attend gatherings thousands of miles away.

The SelfieBot is a stationary telepresence robot manufactured by Endurance. The SelfieBot screen has the capability of functioning autonomously (hands-free) while still being able to capture video and sound using the camera, microphone, and speakers on the attached device (not included).

The Endurance SelfieBot includes the "Follow Me" feature; a function which enables the robot to follow movement during video calls or video recording. This provides the capability for such things as hands-free watching of movies while cooking, creating a personal video for others without need of a cameraman, and for keeping an eye out on your children if you are in another room.

For business users, the "Follow Me" feature enables businesses to use the SelfieBot as an effective marketing tool by displaying a photo or video advertisement on the device's screen. The SelfieBot will display the advertisement while also tracking the movement of the nearest customer, allowing for the greatest possibility of the screen to be viewed.

The SelfieBot will hold 5-10" smartphones and tablets (not included) and provides for the attachment of cameras such as the GoPro. Presently the SelfieBot does not allow for operation via iOS products but Endurance plans to add this functionality in the very near future.
